Terressentials Organic Fragrance-Free Gentle Bath Gel is my absolute favorite for shaving. I had decided to try it when I saw that their castile soap based bath gel could double for shaving, and I’m so glad I did. A smooth, nick-free shave is always mine when I use it. Plus it’s USDA certified organic, and at $10.75 for a full size bottle- it won’t break the bank.

I will admit that it’s a little different than using a standard shaving foam or gel. If you decide to try this or any castile soap based gel to shave, here are a few pointers:

• Don’t lather it up, just smooth it over skin
• Use a bit more product than you would for simply washing your body
• Try a lavender or mint gel if you prefer scented products
