Facial Hair Waxing: Try Cream Wax

By September 4, 2008

Follow me on:

Honey wax is the most popular, all around wax. However, cream waxes are a better option because their smooth consistency is easier to work with than their sticky honey counterparts. Have you ever got some honey on your kitchen countertops? Then you know what I mean. Less stickiness on your skin equals less pain too.

But that’s not all. Cream wax is great for areas like facial zones prone to waxing sensitivity. Getting red, or inflamed skin from waxing can happen as we tend to use more exfoliating products on our face, and waxing exfoliates our skin even more. The eye area also can be sensitive to waxing because the skin is much thinner there. So the more gentle the wax, the better. Because cream waxes contain conditioning agents, it helps moisturize while its on the skin, and fight against redness after the waxing is done.

My pick is GiGi Crème Wax (compare prices) to use for facial hair waxing. Just make sure to read all instructions carefully before waxing at home.

It can be used for women’s facial hair. But a man’s beard area shouldn’t be waxed. The hair is much too coarse.
