Hello Naomi, I just want to let you know that those cheaters I mean the staff of “Viss IPL Hair Removal System”
are manipulating customers because they have posted this on their facebook page ” VISS Beauty- Great news guys!!!!!!!
VISS IPL has been selected as a finalist in the About.com Reader’s Choice Awards!!!!!!
If we win we will be offering a special bonus exclusively for all of our Facebook friends!!! So VOTE now!!!!
http://hairremoval.about.com/b/2011/02/11/readers-choice-awards-category-

That only means that their machine doesn’t even work and they just want to win to advertise for themselves that their machine does really work and it’s good but in reality I’m sure it’s the opposite. I really can’t believe the way they are using customers to become number 1 ! that’s a cheap way.

check it out on this link http://www.facebook.com/vissbeauty

I don’t know what to say about the posting by Joelle. I would recommend before posting such a comment a due diligence is done to see if others such as Tria or Silk’n SensEpil have encouraged their customers to vote as well.

Interesting enough Tria has posted on their Facebook asking their customers to vote as well “TRIA Beauty
Show your TRIA Laser the love by voting it the Best Laser at Home Device in the Readers’ Choice Awards on about.com!!”

Visit the link: http://www.facebook.com/triabeauty?ref=ts#!/triabeauty.

So does Silk’n SensEpil “Please vote for Silkín on 2011 Readersí Choice Awards!!!”
http://silkn.tumblr.com/post/3291864203/2011-readers-choice-awards.

So Joelle, are you saying that none of them work and that is why these companies are asking their readers to vote?

Just a note, I am not an employee of any of these companies. I am just a consumer looking for fair, unbiased comment.

Joelle,

Most companies use social media, like facebook, to ask their fans to vote when their products come up for awards. What specifically makes you feel like they have done something wrong?

Hun I’m a customer of VISS IPL and I’m not being manipulated! I want everyone to know how good and awesome this device is for me. I’d tried many other ways of laser hair removal and VISS IPL had work for me just right and if others can experience the benefits of a great product then why not!

VISS is a junk, don’t waste your money, doesn’t work, and hurts when using.

(12) robin2p says:

I just wanted to chime in and say all the companies are trying to promote their product. Most people including me would not even be aware of the contest without some message.

Also, I own a VISS and have found you must follow the instructions carefully. The only time I have had any pain is if I wasn’t freshly shaved & dry, or I had the setting to high. Once, I made sure to do both of those I had no more pain, and it is working great. I have several patches where the hair has not reappeared for months. I also like the fact that you can buy a cartridge to treat acne with the VISS.

It is a slow process with any of them, since you need to overlap, and our skin is not a flat surface.

Viss works! I had very hair legs and after a few treatments I started to see results. Most of the hair is permanently gone and the hair that is there is more thin. I am a guy buy the way.

and to Joelle, how is it cheap to use customers to vote? Really, the only people who should be qualified to vote are customers… and I would have never even known about this poll if they did not advertise it on social medial/email.

(15) Deb says:

My VISS was delivered 10 days ago, so I have only done 1 hair removal treatment and 2 photorejuvenation treatments. Not painful at all and easy to use. I find that the unit seems well constructed and works as it should. I am pleased with the purchase and am optimistic about results.

(16) Balan says:

I love my VISS… I am a male and pretty hairy. My hair is down to nothing on my chest and arms already… this product is the one of the best products I have ever used. I was not paid to write this, nor coerced, this product is excellent.

(17) N Ali says:

I agree that VISS have sent all their customers the email to encourage them to vote, however having said that i purchased the VISS IPL machine about four weeks ago, i have had two sessions of treatment and i have noticed the results already. It does work, a bit painful but worth the investment.

I vote with high remarks for Silk’n, I was concerned about the price and it not working but this product works.
I thought maybe my wife would use it but instead I use it all the time.
Wonderful, wonderful product.
Thank you.

(20) Kim says:

I haven’t even voted yet but I do need to say that I haven’t tried any other at home laser removal product except VISS…and it works! I am lazy, my husband is out of state, I’ve only used it once on my legs to test and that was in January…I haven’t shaved but maybe one time since. I have 2 perfect rectangle bare spots on my legs…LOL. The hair hasnt even grown back!

I did have professional laser removal under my arms and upper lip back in 2005-2006…and the “snap” feeling I had then is the same I get with the VISS. This products does work!

(21) harry says:

I have been using the Silkin for about 10 months, in my chest and abdomen im pretty hairy male, milk white background and black hair. this thing has reduced the amount of hair probably 70- 75%, i donít know how permanent this could be but seems to work, the only two things I consider a downside: one is the customer service, (they donít answer any email), the other issue has to do with cartridge (lamp) duration. , if Silkin wants to survive they should modify their lamps to last longer, and that most likely is not difficult, they sell lamps that works with a system that burns the circuit after the defined number of flashes, if they want to keep their market share, they should consider not being so greedy. The technology in the Viss is also very good and is cheaper in terms of lamp duration.

For this contest, I can say Silkin have sent me several emails asking to vote for them, I would like to see the same diligence to answer my emails, or improve the duration of their lamps.

(23) Jay says:

The best IPL/laser hair removal device for home use is the E-One anyway, why hasn’t it be selected in this competition?
I don’t see the point to vote for any of those VISS, Silk’n or Tria laser; they simply don’t work for permanent hair reduction, (if it is permanent hair reduction you are looking after…) especially the VISS which is really the biggest joke even created.

Laura L, you must be someone related to VISS company to have posted that you are happy with the VISS results.
Seriously, how can you get any results with an IPL device that can’t deliver more than 2 joules per cm2?
I’ve tried to contact VISS so many times over the phone and by email, no one ever answered me…
Naomi, it would be a good topic to cover about how tricky VISS distributor can be and how they cheat customers with fake testimonials.

(24) Fiona says:

Jay
i am looking to get at at home IPL device. I was thinking of VISS. Why should I go for E-One instead. I tried to find a product comparison online but got no results.

what I did find out was that both cover the same surface area i.e. 6cm2. I couldn;t find any info on joules other than the technical specification of VISS from their website which states energy density at 23J. As a consumer I don’t enough to know that this is good or bad.

The E-One certainly has a certifed safety rating and states their mailing address. I couldn;t find any third party safety rating for VISS and it took a lot of digging around their website to find their location.
The VISS is significantly cheaper and that goes for replacement cartridges too. while cost isn;t an issue ‘bang for my buck’ is. also the lamp life is longer.

Please tell me why I should get the E-One instead of VISS and what makes you an authority i.e. are you a customer or someone working in the industry that knows a lot on this subject.

Thanks in advance

There’s no issue with any company getting their fans to support / vote for their product… what I do have an issue with is that Viss doesn’t appear to have FDA clearance to sell their product in the US – that means it hasn’t been tested! I’ve emailed them to ask about this and no response… don’t think About.com should even allow them in the poll!

Joelle: To let you know that i am a user of the VISS and it does works! IT’s an amazing machine.
Even if they do contact followers and xisting clients of theunit do vote, that is marketing and advising their followers that there is even a Award survey out there. That’s how i knew to vote.
Nothing wrong with it.
I would highly recommend the VISS to anyone based on personal experience.

Jay: I have had great service from the makers of VISS. Fantastic communication each and everytime.
Not sure why you can claim you had issues (gee can’t imagine!)
The unit is amazing and myself among many others have had fantastic results.
If something else works for you that is great. It is very individual. No need to bash another product.

the voting button is not working… I wanted to vote for VISS… I bought it using their worlwide FREE shipping promo and it works well for me…. Very easy to use too. I am an Asian and I live in Saudi Arabia… I thought it would take long but it arrived very fast. I even use it even on my face and bikini area. in my bikini area, it seems like i’m now 80% bald since the regrowth are talking much longer if it would ever regrow. i’m a satisfied customer…

The VISS is a great product and works very well. Some areas of the body require 4-5 treatments some only 1. It did a great job at clearing acne too.

I tried Viss and I’m very happy with it ..it works without pain.. I tried laser sessions .. they were expensive and I got burned during the session ..all I got are ugly scares that will stay with me forever as the doctors said.. but after trying Viss I noticed a big different in my skin
- the unwanted hair is almost gone.
- the scares is lighter ( I dont know how ..but that what happened)
I really think that Viss is a fantastic device and I recommended it to all my family and friends.
