We all know a good razor is essential for a great shave. And I love some feminine razors, like Schick Quattro for Women. Even doing everything I'm supposed to get a get a smooth shave without irritating my skin (see tips), I always come back to Schick Hydro 3, a men's razor. I feel it gets the closest shave especially where the hair is thicker--my leg hair isn't that thick so I could use either one.
There does seem to be differences with a man's razor over a woman's. For instance, the multiple blades generally seem to be closer together. I'm not really sure what exactly makes a quality men's razor provide a closer shave than a woman's, but I'll take it. However, you do have to be careful. Since they are made for thick facial hair, they can be very powerful and too many swipes can cause razor burn.
