A fine and light growth of hair on the upper lip should be scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks in the beginning for 5 to 10 minutes per session. A heavy growth on the upper lip could be treated weekly, but still, treatment length should be no more than 30 minutes.
I personally want to keep the time on the upper lip to a 15 minute or less time – even if it’s weekly, since the upper lip is a delicate area in two ways. The upper lip is sensitive to the sting of the treatments, and the skin is susceptible to damage from over-treatment of the area. That said, electrolysis is the only method that can provide permanent results.
