Testing Tria: Part V

6 Months After Last Treatment

By , About.com Guide

It's been six months since my last treatment with Tria on my bikini line. My end results were quite impressive (read review). About a 95% reduction in hair where I used the highest setting and 90% where the second or medium setting was used deeper into my bikini line (Tria has three settings).

Tria Update

I was really worried when summer came, thinking that the hair might come sprouting back. But it has been six months after my last zapping with Tria, and my results are still the same. The hair that left hasn't come back so far. Yes, it's as wonderful as it sounds.

Hair is very unnoticeable and I hardly have to shave. It would be very easy for me to wax because there is hardly any hair, but I want to make sure the hair reduction results are true to the laser (waxing can harm the follicle, thus preventing it from growing hair over time).

Faster Is Better

In my review of Tria, my main issues with the home laser device were the somewhat time consuming treatments because of the small head and the 1/2 hour operating time between charges.

Since I finished my last treatment, Tria released updated models. The lastest one (see profile) has a built-in skin sensor and digital display. This not only fires faster than the one I used, but recharging doesn't take as long, and there's more time for each treatment on each charge.buy direct).

Update

See if I still have the same hair reduction results one year later. Read Testing Tria: Part VI.
