Men Shaving Pubic Hair

Top Do's and Dont's

By , About.com Guide

We help men shaving pubic hair know what to do and not to do to get great results. These simple tips, how-to and safety advice will make a world a difference in grooming down below.

1. Do take your time shaving

If you shave your face, most likely you can get the job done pretty quickly. Because your intimate region is a more sensitive zone you’ll need to take a bit more time to get a close, safe shave.  Then you’ll be on your way to avoiding common problems like razor burn and ingrown hair.

2. Don't think shaving is your only option

Instead of going smooth, alot of men choose to trim the hair down to look more groomed. It's a sure way to stay clear of raozr burn, nicks and cuts. Trimming is also less upkeep than shaving and is quick and easy to do.

3. Do use the right products

Soap and a manual razor will cut the hair, but will leave your skin in a less than ideal state. The right products will give you a great shave and help minimize nasty side effects.

4. Don’t use a manual razor on your private parts

Men shaving the pubic hair on the skin around the genitals is fine using a manual razor. But the skin is different on your private parts and you could really hurt yourself removing hair there with a regular razor. The good news is that there are many products used just for this purpose that cut hair completely or trim it down to your perfect length without risking nicks.
