Ive been shaving my pubic area, but it only lasts a day or so. How long will the hair be gone if I switch to waxing?
Waxing Lasts Longer than Shaving Pubic Area
Hair grows in cycles: growing, resting and shedding. When you first start waxing, it will last about two weeks. But if you continue to wax every two weeks and get the hair in the same cycles, it will be gone for up to six weeks. This isnt the case for everyone, as some people just have faster growing hair than others. Waxing an area frequently over time can also damage the hair follicle, and cause it to stop growing hair. You can wax your bikini area at home, if you are just taking the hair outside your bikini line. Keep in mind by waxing your own bikini carefully following instructions is a must for the longest lasting results. You could end up breaking hairs above or below the surface, and they will "grow" back much quicker than if the entire hair follicle was removed.
If you want most or all of your hair removed, thats called a Brazilian wax, and you should have that done professionally. There are many bikini waxing styles, from a little to a lot off.
