Guide Review - Clio Designs Palmperfect Electric Shaver
"Every time I go and shave, I assume there's someone else on the planet shaving. So I say, 'I'm gonna go shave, too.'" - Mitch Hedberg
Well, I hope that the other person shaving had chosen a different razor to shave with! I hate giving a bad review, especially when the razor is affordable and kind of cute. But this razor was not on my hit list. It definitely made my miss list.
Shaving Wet Doesn't Go Well
Although this razor is cordless and can be used wet or dry, I found that it did not work well wet. I opened it up and put in batteries. I hopped into the shower and lathered one leg up. I pushed the button, turned it on and began to attempt to remove the hair on my leg. After a few minutes and what felt like sandpaper on the razor end of it, I had shorter hair but it was still there. I thought maybe I did something wrong.
Maybe Shaving Dry will Work Better
I was not going to give up. I dried off and waited for about an hour so I could regroup and try again. This time, I was going to shave dry. The button was pushed and I was off. I went up and down, sideways and back ways. I finally knew what Charlie felt like in the chocolate factory elevator. I worked with the razor for about twenty minutes. I did not get good results. I didn't even get mediocre results. I have coarse hair, so I thought that might have been the problem.
Okay, Let's Try Fine Hair
I called up my niece and asked her to come over. She is thirteen and a fashionista to say the least. I told her about the razor and asked her to give it a shot. She has much finer hair and very long legs so this would be the true test. She began shaving and within ten minutes, she had both legs free from hair and smooth. She completed one dry and the other wet. Both ways did the job!
Short Battery Life
We noticed that the battery life was not that long as the razor began to slow during her hair removal session. A total time of approximately 40 minutes.
On the Bright Side
The plus is you can coordinate your décor with the razor! There are many different patterns and colors available. Also it fits comfortably in the palm of your hand so you don't get the razor slip you can get with a regular razor.
