Shobha Rosewater Calming Gel

Shobha’s Rosewater Calming Gel is free of parabens and artificial fragrances but brings back memories of my grandma. Usually I love Shobha products, but I couldn’t get behind this one. I think the price is a bit high and that is another reason I would avoid it.

I was pretty happy when I received the Shobha package. I have been very pleased with all of their products so far.

The Smell Test

The first thing I always do is smell the product. So I opened the package and inhaled. A flash of my grandma and her friends playing bridge flashed in my head. I was a little disappointed.

I felt the gel. It wasn't sticky, which was good, but I could not stand the scent.

Can You Try This?

I had to pass this along to someone who would be impartial to my thoughts and give it a whirl. Brenda was the one.

Brenda used the product after her bi-monthly waxing session. I sent it with her and told her to use it to keep the redness down. The directions simply stated she would need to massage into her skin to work.

Brenda returned in two weeks and told me she used it after she got home and did not care for the smell. She said although the scent was light, it lingered a bit and couldn't tell if it helped at all. She said it was light and seemed to moisturize and that the redness went away after the first few hours, but that was normal.

One More Time

Brenda gave it a try for the second time. She said she gave it a fair try but just could not use it because she really did not like the scent. She didn't notice enough of a difference in helping with the redness to overcome the scent factor.
