The Bottom Line

All around these Veet Wax Strips made for the face and bikini are worth the money. I actually liked them better than some of the old stand bys. If you are doing some at home waxing, these are probably the easiest to use and I think you will like them too.

Guide Review - Veet Salon Line Ready to Use Wax Strips for Face & Bikini

The price of beauty is not all that much when you purchase the Veet Salon Line Ready to Use Wax Strips for Face & Bikini. These are ready to use strips that can be cut to size if needed. I have to say these are one of the best waxes on a strip sold right now.

I asked a client if she would be my tester for these hair removal strips and she was as curious as I was. She emphatically agreed and we went to work.

Let's Try the Brows

I started with her eyebrows because the strips were not all that big and I had not seen this client for about three months so I knew I was going to have some work to do.

I had her lay down and I removed the strips from the package. I cut them to a smaller size and I warmed them up in my hands. I placed the strip on her brows and pressed. I held her skin taught and pulled. Off came the hair and all of the wax with it- beautiful, simple and easy. I continued and removed all of the unwanted hair from her brows.

Now the Bikini

After I was finished, I began working on her bikini line. I had the same results, except she had a lot of hair and I had to dip into my regular wax for the rest. Now I only blame my client and not the strips because, in her words, she was a Yeti.

Watch Out for This

I did notice that if I didn't completely warm the wax in my hands, it would stay on her skin. After I was finished, I used the wipes that were included in the box to remove the residual wax. It did the job but they were very greasy.

Veet salon line: more like, b-line to a salon!, Member Tara123456789

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT! Accustomed to waxing my legs at a salon, I decided to save a few bucks and try out Veet's ""Salon Line"" wax strips for ""legs, body and bikini"". What a mistake! Never having used this product, I followed the instructions indicated on the box. Unfortunately after placing a strip onto my leg and rubbing repeatedly in the direction of the hair growth, when I quickly pulled the strip back on itself the only thing to come off was the strip! This left all the hair plus the wax on my leg. First, I tried to remove the wax with the now empty strip. No such luck, I couldn't get the wax to re-adhere, perhaps because the body heat being produced by my leg was keeping the wax from solidifying. Then I tried to remove it with ""perfect finish wipes"" included in the box. This successfully smeared the wax around and increased the gummy area. Unfortunately no wax (or hair - no longer my priority) came off. Next, I tried soap, but the wax did not wash off, and the warm water only melted the wax further. There was so much wax I could mould it, and scrape parts of it off with my nails, but that only moved the wax from my leg to the underside of my nails. I tried to get it out from under my nails with a paper towel, but that just added paper bits to the goo building under my nails. I decided to call the 1-800 number posted on the box. Surely they could tell me what to use to remove their product. So, with wax now all over my phone, stuck to my face and spreading into the hair on my head, I found myself wasting time dealing with a customer service rep. My call was ultimately transferred to a Veet rep who's greatest concern was my reference number, something I had not been given, and if I had been given one I'm not sure how I would have recorded it without furthering the spread of wax. The rep was in no way apologetic, and informed me she usually suggests (clearly I'm not the first to be in this sticky situation) applying baby oil - a product I don't typically stock at home. So, with the Veet rep unable to help me, I hung up and began trying to remove the wax with a variety of household items including baking soda, olive oil, more soap, salt, nail polish remover, goo gone and ultimately turpentine. Hardly the salon experience! I will never use this product again, nor endorse any type of hair removal product made by Veet. What a waste of time, energy and money! It is hard to say which is worse, their product or their customer service! I'm just thankful I tried this product on my legs and not my bikini line!
