Name the Most Common Misconceptions About Electrolysis

People generally do not understand regrowth cycles as well as the impact that tweezing has on the root of the hair as well as the delicate tissue of the skin.

What Do You Most Love About Electrolysis?

I have had several clients, in the past, who would not go out in public due to their facial hair. One client even covered her chin hair with a large bandage. Another client went to a plastic surgeon announcing she was ready to have skin transplants in order to rid herself of her facial hair. All these clients found out about electrolysis and I was able to help them change their lives for the better. I would work at no charge if I could support myself otherwise. That is how gratifying my work is.

Advice

  • First, check to see if your state has a licensing board. If the board has been in place for several years, that is a good sign that the electrologists are being monitored for safe hygenic and sterilization methods.
  • If there is no board, contact some dermatologists and/or plastic surgeons in your area and find out who they recommend.
  • When contacting an electrologist be sure to ask if they use disposable probes and gloves.
  • Make yourself familiar with electrolysis and what antiseptic process you should expect when you are treated.
  • Ask questions and expect your electrologist to manage your expectations.
