Painful but worth it

I thought I had a high tolerance for pain but I balled like a baby while having my face threaded. With that said I will go back every month to have my face done. The poor technician assured me it would get better the more I do it, and I am crossing my fingers she right. My face is smooth and the pain was gone within an hour where waxing left me sore for hours.

Amazing

I just had this done yesterday after my sister-in-law told me about this. What a great thing have done. Bye, bye tweezers and hello threading
—Guest BevRosa

pain free threading

Just ask for numbing cream and if they dont have it u can suggest they get it. That will help a little, it won't totally numb skin but it helps. And make sure u keep it for the amount of time it says on the bottle or tube.

This is great!

I had my eye brows and upper lip done for the first time today at the mall. The lady was very fast and skilled so I think she's been doing it for a while. It was a little painful, especially my upper lip which I've never removed hair from before. It's been a few hours and it's still just a little sore, but that skin is quite tender. If I don't develop any bumps or anything, I'll do it again. It looks great. I'd like to learn to do it myself. It looks easy on you tube.

Love the look, but painful for me!

I love the look after threading, it has been done on my brows, but for me it's painful. My sister loves it and goes every two weeks. I stick to waxing.

First time being threaded

Wow, that was interesting! It worked really well, was quick and inexpensive. The ouch factor existed, but went away quickly. She got very fine hairs that were too close to my lip for waxing. Try it out!

Great Results

Got my lip done for the first time. Even though my eyes watered, I really love the results. The girl who did my threading put a really great soothing gel on after and the pain was all but gone right away. "Beauty knows no pain". I will take the pain any day. Cost $8.00. Getting my eyebrows done in a few days.

had my brows done over the weekend and absolutely love the results. Yes it is painful (about like with tweezers), but will drive 4 hrs if necessary to get them done again
—Guest nancy

love it

I'm from a small town so it's not done here, but I've had it done 3 times when I find a place. No pain, or, at most, very little tingling. My problem is thick, wirey, unrulely eyebrows so they never look great but this is as good as possible. Waxing has just caused my daughter burns and marking on eyelids. This is much safer.

Love it!

I have had this done once, earlier this year and loved it. I have just recently have found a place closer to my home that offers threading, and will be going there a.s.a.p. for far more threading, not just eyebrows, but other facial areas too.

I wish I had done this years ago

Yesterday I had this done for this first time. It was a weird stinging sensation. The lady was efficient and so kind. Over the years I have been burnt and bruised from waxing. As of this morning my skin is fine and I love the look. So for me it has been a positive experience and not as painful as somethings I have been through. My only complaint that it cost $28 Aus which is about twice as much as waxing.

Child birth

I had my whole face done on holiday in Turkey. It did hurt, in fact, the side of my face was very hairy and it was worse than child birth but I am a wimp but the result are fantastic. It's 2 weeks and not a sight of a hair yet. Just need to find somewhere as good in uk.

just not at the mall

The girls at mall stands are usually really inexperienced, if you want a good threading I recommend going to a salon.

Not for me

I had my brows waxed and then she finished with threading. I think I'll go with waxing because I found it was nearly as painful. After waxing I may have some discomfort but after threading my brows were sore right through to the next day.

"Ouch" doesn't do justice.....

I stopped in a mall kiosk and a nice lady lured me to her chair. I started with my brows and reluctantly ended up doing my whole face. While the look and feel is awesome, my face is STILL tender from it 48 hours later. I do admit I love the feel of my face, and my makeup stays on much better. I live in a small town so chances of doing it again are pretty slim. If you don't have a high pain tolerance you will definitely be uncomfortable. Waxing is better for me.
