How To Get Rid of Ear Hair

By September 7, 2010

Follow me on:

I've seen my fair share of ear hair. No, not on myself. You see, when I first entered the beauty industry I solely focused on hair services, and after a couple of years I specialized in cutting men's hair. And after a really nice haircut, I would shave off any hair on the outer sides of the ear.

As a man ages, he tends to sprout some noticeable, pretty thick hair on his ears. Sometimes it just makes its way on the outside of his ears. Other times it's on the outside and peeks out of the ear canal. If a man keeps his hair short, then the hair becomes that more obvious.

If you want to get rid of your ear hair, you have to be really careful. The ear has a lot of curves going on. But even more important is when trying to reach your inner ear you could end up hurting your ear drum.

Here are your options for safely getting hair-free ears with tips for each method in: Ear Hair Removal. And while you're at it, don't forget about your brows. Learn how to keep them neat in: How to Trim Your Eyebrows.

A lot of my clients are now total converts to having their ear hair waxed! I use non-strip wax to remove hairs from around the helix / pinna, ear lobe and tragus.

Wax is *never* inserted into the ear, but done carefully and appropriately this is a very popular and well received treatment.
