Let's start out by saying that I don't like to refer to large eyebrows as being bushy. I don't know about you, but that word makes me think of an older man who doesn't trim his brows and they look long, wiry and unkempt. Rather, I like to think of larger brows as full.
Beauty trends, like fashion, come and go. How good it looks on the model in that glossy magazine, some just cannot be worn by anyone. This goes for very full brows.
Why? It basically comes down to our facial features. Before tweezers ever touched our brows they had their own thickness and shape. Since brows frame our eyes, they're generally in proportion to them.
Someone with small eyes and other delicate features who never naturally had big, bold brows won't work well on them now. I'm definitely not into or promoting pencil thin brows which don't look good on anyone, period.
Just making the brows a bit thicker, if needed, and filling in any sparse areas can make a huge difference. Since fuller brows are often associated with youth, it can take off a couple years.
