The Bottom Line
While it was nice to use, it took a while to figure out that it was not exactly like regular hard wax. It's pliable, worked well for delicate areas and seemed to be more gentle. Although, I did find that it was not picking up all the hair. All in all, I would use this again and would say it’s worth trying.
Pros
- Nice smell
- Applies thinner than traditional hard wax
- More elastic than traditional hard wax
Cons
- Hard to find
- Seemed to be less effective at removing hair
- Professional use only

Guide Review - GiGi Mimosa Film Hard Wax
I liked this hard wax because it was easier to use than traditional hard wax. It’s an all natural product, which is always nice. As with any hard wax, no strips are needed, which help keep the costs down.
It has “vinyl copolymers, which gives the wax its elasticity and versatility.” Basically it’s somewhat forgiving and more pliable. It does not feel like a hard wax because it goes on more like a honey wax, but without having to use your strips. A thin layer was all it took, and then zip, you’re done.
Although it was gentle enough for those sensitive areas, and tough enough for the arms and legs, I did have issues with it removing all the hair at once. I tried this over and over on several clients with different hair types and varying hair lengths. I wanted to give the hard wax a fair shot, but still had those few strays.
All in all, this was a great product. This is definitely not for the non-professional. I had difficulty finding it at my local beauty supplies, including Cosmoprof (a store that only sells to licensed Cosmetologists, Estheticians and Nail Technicians). I was able to find it online though!
